Watchlist and ratings
Save movies and TV shows with a tap and rate them from 1 to 10. Your personal catalog tells the story of the viewer you've become over time.
Looking for a Letterboxd that speaks Italian, covers TV shows too, and lets you share recommendations with friends? That's exactly what Somto is.
Three things that change right away.
Everything in Italian. Interface, title pages, blog, community reviews, and support are all designed for people watching movies and shows in Italy. No more mentally translating between the original title and the Italian one.
TV shows too, not just movies. Letterboxd is dedicated exclusively to movies. On Somto you'll find movies and TV shows in the same catalog, with tracking of where you left off on series episodes.
Social features, with quizzes and challenges. On Somto you follow friends, see their ratings and the recommendations they share, and you can challenge each other in movie and TV quizzes — even with people who aren't on Somto yet, via link.
What you'll find in both, and where they differ.

Yes, Somto is completely free. There's no paid plan: watchlist, ratings, reviews, quizzes, and stats are included for everyone, on both web and iOS.
Right now Somto doesn't have an automatic import from Letterboxd's CSV. You can recreate your watchlist by searching for titles in the search bar: each one takes just a few seconds. We're looking into adding the import.
Somto includes TV shows with tracking of where you left off, movie and TV quizzes with challenges between friends, an experience designed and localized in Italian, and a smaller, more close-knit community. Letterboxd is just movies; Somto covers movies and TV together.
Somto started out in Italian and its English version is rolling out now, so the community you'll find today is mostly Italian. Letterboxd's interface and community are mainly English.
Yes, Somto is available both as a web app (somto.it) and as a native iOS app. Catalog, ratings, and watchlist are synced across both devices.
