Find your export
It's the archive (usually a ZIP) you requested from gdpr.tvtime.com before the shutdown. Check your email and Downloads folder: it's often already there.

A transparent note: we import the movies and shows you've watched (with exact dates), season-by-season series progress, rewatches, your watchlist, ratings (converted from TV Time's 5-star scale to a 1-10 rating, which you can always edit), and the reviews you've written, with the spoiler flag preserved. We also handle the hard cases: anthologies TV Time merges into a single series, titles with non-Latin names, old exports with different formats. Email, password, and other personal data stay on your device: we only read your history. We don't import per-episode reactions/emotions or comments without a matching rating: TV Time doesn't make them comparable to Somto's rating model.

What is the best alternative to TV Time?
It depends on what you need. Somto is the Italian alternative: free, on web and iOS, with watchlist, episode-by-episode tracking, ratings (even per season), quizzes, and a spoiler-safe community — and it imports your TV Time export, recovering series rewatches, anthologies, and titles with non-Latin names too. Did TV Time really shut down?
Yes. TV Time ended its service on July 15, 2026: the app was removed from the stores and the official data export tool (gdpr.tvtime.com) is no longer reachable.
I didn't export my data in time: can I still recover it?
The self-service export tool no longer responds, so there's no automatic way anymore. You can try writing to TV Time support citing your GDPR right of access, but there's no guarantee of a reply. First, check your email and Downloads folder: if you had requested the export, the ZIP archive might already be on your device. Either way, you can start again on Somto: search for titles, mark them as watched, and rebuild your catalog.
What does Somto import from the TV Time export?
Upload the whole ZIP from the import page and Somto recovers: movies and shows you've watched (with dates), season-by-season series progress, rewatches, your watchlist, ratings (converted to a 1-10 scale, editable), and reviews with the spoiler flag. We also handle the hard cases: merged anthologies, titles with non-Latin names, old exports with different formats. Per-episode reactions/emotions and comments without a matching rating aren't imported: they don't have a direct equivalent on Somto.
Is Somto free and in Italian?
Yes. Somto is completely free on web and iOS, and it's designed and built in Italian: interface, title pages, community, and support.
Is there an Android app?
The Android app is in the works. In the meantime Somto's web app works really well on Android too: you can add it to your Home screen from the browser and use it like an app.
